There’s a lot of people out there that might need a little boost in their everyday lives and this post should come to you at a time you need it the most. If not, then bookmark it and come back to it. I thought I would start the slow process of coming back to this site by looking at some of the things that got me started.
In your life, you might have an idea or a dream you’d like to follow or something you really enjoy and you’d like to get paid for someday. You could be that writer waiting for some creative spark like I am, or some artist looking for the right scenery, or you’re someone who notices that something isn’t quite right in this world. As cliche as those things may sound, the most important thing that people like us need to remember is the need to keep moving forward in life.Even those steps are small, it is important to keep taking them.
I found a few quotes from entrepreneur.com that might help you to your next big moment of brilliance.
“If you are not willing to risk the usual you will have to settle for the ordinary.” – Jim Rohn
This is actually really true. When you’re moving day in and day out wondering when your big break is going to be, you’re not doing it right. Your skill set needs to expand, you need to make that right contact, that perfect storm of success and failure needs to hit you before you can move on.
16. Getting it right.
“Nothing in the world is ever completely wrong. Even a stopped clock is right twice a day.” – Paulo Coelho
You know nothing will jar your brain faster than being wrong on something that seemed like such a sure thing. Trusting your instincts is important but a lot of emotions get mixed in there and confuse the process. Hope, imagination, uncertainty, inexperience are all things that could shake your confidence. This quote reminds us that eventually we’ll all get it right. Eventually.
“Great minds discuss ideas; average minds discuss events; small minds discuss people.” – Eleanor Roosevelt
It’s really easy to get caught up in what other people are doing. Especially if your line of work is telling people about it. It can be good to see what the competition or a rival is doing, but obsessing over someone else’s success compared to yours can really be detrimental to your health. Plus the more time you spend discussing what other people are doing, it takes away from the time you could be working on something else. ANYTHING else.
There are a lot of great quotes that you should take a minute to reflect and expand upon. I’d love to hear your interpretation of some of these.
