The Future: Satellite Internet and Hyperloops

Elon Musk is the man, yes oh yes he is!!  It was reported today that Elon Musk has sought government approval to begin testing on an array of 4,000 satellites to float around the planet and shoot internet lasers at everyone.  SpaceX  would then become an internet provider as well as a spaceflight company.  Musk hasn’t received word yet from the FCC to see if he can do it, but if he did, he would get started sometime next year.   This dude wants to go head to head with the likes of Verizon, Comcast, and AT&T but experts are saying the logistics of his plan point to his level of success being pretty slim.

In other news, what’s about as fast as a plane, as reliable and frequent as a bus/rail system and capable of carrying way more people and things?  The Hyperloop system proposed by Elon Musk!  I realize this post is mostly about Musk, but really these ideas would change the game for everyone.  It would be transportation and internet at the next level of evolution.  The only current problem is, Musk is trying to juggle SpaceX and Tesla Motors while trying to push these other ideas like the mamma bird pushing the hatchlings out to fly. Good news is, Musk has been on somewhat of a roll recently, unless you count the rocket landing failures (and I don’t).  It seems as though like the musk of an animal, the influence of Musk tends to stick once he has his sights on an idea.
