Back in October, Nintendo revealed that Mewtwo would be released as DLC for those who purchase both Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS and Super Smash Bros. for Wii U in Spring 2015. Ever since, there’s been little word on when we would see the legendary Pokémon returning to Smash Bros.
Masahiro Sakurai, director of the Smash Bros. series, recently broke the silence in the matter by stating that work on Mewtwo is “pretty much done.” Sakurai also teased that the DLC is planned to release “pretty soon.”
Don’t forget that if you own both the 3DS and Wii U versions of the game, you need to register both games with Club Nintendo to receive the Mewtwo DLC free of charge. You can see Sakurai’s full statement in the video above!
